In collaboration with a former colleague, I am co-developing a single-player real-time strategy open world (RTS) game in Unity using C#. The core gameplay revolves around tactical ship management and combat, where players make strategic decisions to customize ships, swap equipment, or reconfigure ship modules/rooms to adapt to dynamic battlefield scenarios. This project draws on our combined expertise in game development to create an engaging, replayable experience.

Key features and systems implemented:

Deep ship customization and equipment systems, enabling players to modify loadouts on-the-fly for optimal performance in varying situations
Intelligent AI opponents powered by Unity's ML-Agents for adaptive bot logic and behavior, combined with finite state machines (FSM) for precise control over enemy actions and decision-making
Custom save/load system for persistent progress across sessions
Efficient object pooling to optimize performance during intense real-time battles
Robust skill system for unlocking and deploying abilities
Event-driven game system to handle triggers, notifications, and interconnected gameplay mechanics

This ongoing project emphasizes modular, scalable architecture to facilitate future expansions, reflecting best practices from my professional background in game and enterprise software development. Once complete, the game is slated for deployment and commercial release on Steam, aiming to deliver a polished RTS title with strategic depth and AI-driven challenges.
